PANACHE CULTURE is back, an exhilarating experience for those in search of vibes, and there's an abundance of vibes in their latest album, "ROOTS EXPERIENCE'. The bands' origins, personality and ideas : Panache Culture, two words that evoke and subscribe to an ancient expectation like humanity itself, hoping to see different cultures live, not besides one another, but together in synergy. With respect, not to simply tolerate the other but to comprehend the one who is different. This is exactly what they try & accomplish by means of the full extend of their music, music that expresses the disarray in which certain minorities live by as well as their rebellious character as music is often born out of suffering but also expresses hope for a better future. Panache culture has forged its' particular style around the reggae rhythm combined with Oriental, Ragga, Rap and World Music influences and thus created a unique sound. Year after year, the bands' personality has reflected a social reality as it is daily experienced by youngsters of all nationalities who can easily recognize themselves in the music as well as in the message it spreads out. Their message can be summarized in one sentence: "let's live together like brothers or perish together like idiots." M.L.K. The actual core of the band consists of three brothers; a drummer (hors pair), a slightly mad bass player and a singer with a mesmerizing voice, which lends their music a family-spirit; a touch of magic and communicative value which can't quite be defined. The bands' musical career and evolution : When we trace back the bands' roots to the very beginning, Panache Culture recorded its very first single with Luc Baiwir and Euromusic : Lielila, Another Lover. Then a major encounter gives the band an unexpected boost. The band establishes itself with their first album "TELL THEM"(in 1992) for RUNN Records International with producers Guido Delvoux and Hubert Hensels, recorded in the "Init Sound Studio" (owned by Danis super D), featuring a collection of international reggae stars the likes of Mad Professor behind the mixing panel, Macka B (London-based toaster of international reputation), Rico Rodriguez on the trombone, Bammie Rose on Tenor Sax (from the Aswad horns-section), Black Steel on guitar and Sandra Cross providing backing vocals. (Ariwa artists). 1994 sees the birth of their second album "TRAVEL IN A DREAM" which -just like their previous album- was recorded in Belgium and mixed in London. The difference this time was the collaboration of Barry O'Hare from the Groove Studios in Jamaica, adding his personal touch to a number of songs on the album as well as to certain mixes. The concerts... Reactions to their very first gig were positively plentiful and so the band concentrated on touring until their first encounter with producer Guido Delvoux. Their reputation spread like wildfire and promoted them quickly to provide backing for Jamaican artists like Earl 16, Alton Ellis, Nardo Ranks, Natty Remo, Mikey Spice, Hindon, Harry Chapman, Determine, Prezident Brown… A selection of concerts that mark the history of the band:
Les origines, la personnalité du groupe, ses idées : Panache Culture, deux mots qui rassemblent, qui soutienne une espérance vielle comme l'humanité, voir un jour les différentes cultures vivre, non pas côte à côte, mais bien ensemble dans une synergie, un respect, pas une tolérance mais une compréhension de c'est autre qui ne nous ressemble pas. C'est ce qu'ils font aux travers de la musique, cette musique qui exprime à la fois le désarroi que peuvent vivre certaines minorités, mais aussi la révolte, car la Musique nait bien souvent d'une souffrance, mais aussi d'une espérance qu'un jour les choses changent. C'est autour d'un rythme, celui du reggae combiné aux influences Oriental, Ragga, Rap, World Music, Funk, HipHop que Panache Culture s'est forgé un style qui est propre au groupe. D'année en année, la personnalité du groupe s'est affichée comme une réalité sociale, vécue quotidiennement par bien des jeunes de tous pays, qui se reconnaissent aussi bien dans la musique que dans le message que fait passer le groupe, message que l'on pourrait résumer en une seule phrase «vivons ensemble comme des frères, ou nous périrons ensemble comme des idiots » M.L.K. Le noyau actuel du groupe est constitué de trois frères, un batteur hors paire, un bassiste un peu fou et un chanteur à la voix envoûtante, cet esprit familiale fait planer dans la musique, un petit quelque chose d'indéfinissable, de magique et extrêmement communicatif. La carrière musicale, la progression : Si on veut prendre l'histoire par ses débuts, Panache Culture enregistre son tout premier single avec Luc Béwir et Euromusique: Lielila, Another lover. Puis une rencontre majeur va donner au groupe une expansion inattendue, c'est avec RUNN Records International et ses producteurs Guido Delvoux, Hubert Hensels, que le groupe s'affirme avec son premier album en 1992 « TELL THEM » enregistré à « Init sound studio » par Danis super D (Belgique) et dans lequel vont participer quelques pointures du reggae comme: Mad Professor au mixage, Macka B (toester londonien de réputation international), Rico Rodriguez au trombone, Bammie Rose au saxe ténor (Aswad Horns section) Black Steel à la guitare et Sandra Cross au chœur (Ariwa artistes). C'est en 1994 que n'ait le second album "TRAVEL IN A DREAM " comme pour TELL THEM c'est en Belgique qu'on enregistre et à Londres que l'on mixe, mais à noter l'apport de Barry O'Hare (Grove Studio Jamaica) et sa participation à certaines chansons de l'album ainsi qu'a certains mixes. Les Concerts... Dès le premier concert, les réactions ne se firent pas attendre, tout de suite le groupe s'est mit à tourner, Jusqu'à la rencontre du producteur Guido Delvoux. Très vite la réputation du groupe l'amène à faire des backlines pour des artistes Jamaïcains, tels que Earl 16, Alton Ellis, Nardo Ranks, Natty Remo, Professor Frisky, Mikey Spice, Indu, Harry Chapman, Détermine, Daweh Congo, Prézident Brown...
